I love all of the photo sessions I do. Honestly. I love the families and couples I get to meet and interact with and telling everyone’s story through photos. However, this session was one of my favorites. A friend of mind wanted to do something very special for her daughter.

She wanted a day dedicated just for her and to make her feel like a princess. We picked a day and time to do the session and surprise her. It was *thee* perfect Fall day. Not super cold out, and we had about and hour before the sun set. Fort Niagara is this gem in Niagara County. Rich historic buildings, beautiful giant trees, trails, and the Niagara River overlooking Canada.

We ended up doing a few different looks for this session, the first being a red blouse and jeans, the second being a black tank top and jeans, and the final, and most formal look a beautiful floral ball gown. We had her horse, Roxy, as the main attraction. Roxy is a young horse that many children enjoy at Lakeside Quarter Horses in Youngstown NY.

Horses are such gentle and kind animals, and it always amazes me to see how they are with kids and young adults. The session was so much fun, even at the end when my friend took Roxy back to the stable, we ran down to the beach area and got some amazing images of the sun setting. The sky was incredible! I love Fort Niagara, and I cannot wait to go back there for another session.
