Summer in Western New York is nothing short of magical, and there’s no better place to capture its beauty than Knox Farm State Park in East Aurora. With golden fields, charming barns, and tree-lined paths, it’s the perfect backdrop for a high school senior session. When Acacia chose this stunning location for her senior portraits, I knew we were in for an unforgettable evening filled with gorgeous light, natural beauty, and lots of fun!

The Perfect Summer Evening

We planned Acacia’s session for golden hour, that magical time just before sunset when the light is soft and glowing. As we walked through the park, the warm summer breeze carried the scent of wildflowers, and the sun cast a dreamy glow over the fields. From the moment we started, Acacia’s energy and excitement shined through, making every shot effortless and natural.

Style & Personality in Every Shot

One of my favorite parts of senior sessions is capturing each senior’s unique personality, and Acacia absolutely brought hers to life! She chose a mix of outfits that perfectly reflected her style—one casual and fun sundress for those carefree meadow shots and a more elegant, flowy dress for a touch of sophistication against the rustic barns. Her confidence and radiant smile made every shot feel so genuine and full of life.

We explored some of Knox Farm’s best spots, including:

• The Open Fields: The tall grasses and golden hues created a dreamy, ethereal feel. These images felt straight out of a storybook!
• The Rustic Barns: The historic barns added a timeless touch to her session, with their weathered wood and charm enhancing the classic summer vibe.
• The Tree-Lined Paths: As the sun dipped lower, the soft, filtered light through the trees gave us the perfect golden-hour glow.
