March in the Buffalo/Niagara region can be tough. Some years it is a complete white out blizzard-other’s it’s sunny and 75. When I first spoke with Megan in January, we were hoping for a winter wonderland for her maternity session. Of course the weather had other plans (no snow in WNY, whaaaaat).

We did a variety of locations while at Fort Niagara State Park, the first being the beautiful and moody beach area that day. Even though it was cloudy out, this gave extra drama to the black maternity dress.

Next was a beautiful, autumn-esq field, again with more drama with the black maternity gown. Followed by a dark teal door at the lighthouse near the actual fort provided another contrasting backdrop.

Following the black dress, Megan switched to a sheer overlay dress with studded rhinestones and pearls with a white slip underneath. We loved to dress so much which could be worn in a more casual setting, on the dock (background includes where Canada and NYS meet), as well as a more nightlife look in the old barracks porch.
